Alison Jiear
Since training at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Australia, Alison has woven a professional path through cabaret, musical theatre, top session singing and the world concert stage receiving numerous acolades internationally from within the music industry:

Her West End musical theatre credits include
'Shoes' at the Sadler's Wells Theatre,

'Jerry Springer: The Opera' at the Royal National Theatre and Sydney Opera House and
'Grease'.
Alison was nominated for the 2004 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in
'Jerry Springer: The Opera' and in 2015 she reached the semi-finals of
Britain's Got Talent
where she astonished audiences and judges alike.
Tonight's concet is a rare opportunity to hear Alison in an intimate jazz club setting as she sings her favourite and most heartfelt songs, she's also a local to the Fishery Wharf Cafe which is a place she loves and we are thrilled she's agreed to come and perform here tonight.

Clive Dunstall

Clive started his musical career playing trumpet and piano in the Royal Marines Band Service including serving on board The Royal Yacht Britannia performing for Her Majesty The Queen and other members of the Royal Family.
Since then Clive has led a distinguished career in theatres, the West End and on the world concert stage as pianist, Musical Director and arranger working at the highest level.
His credits include touring with Sting and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra 'Symphonicities Tour' in America,Canada and Europe in 2010.
He has played in many West End shows including Hairspray, Drowsy Chaperone, Our House, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe’s Caféand Lenny with Eddie Izzard.
Clive has also played piano in numerous concerts with orchestras such as the LSO, RPO & RPCO, LPO and the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Clive is currently Anton Du Beke’s Musical Director and pianist and other artist credits include Dame Shirley Bassey, Jack Jones, Angela Lansbury, Denice Williams, Brandford Marsalis, Chris Botti, Stuart Copeland, Barry Manilow, Gregory Porter, Cliff Richard, Kenny Baker, Lalo Schifrin, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, Ronnie Corbett, Bruce Forsyth, Claire Teal, Bob Monkhouse, and Roy Castle.
Clives jazz piano playing has been featured in many jazz big bands including The Ronnie Scott’s Big Band, The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, The BBC Big Band, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The John Wilson Orchestra and The Bert Kaemphert Orchestra, .
As an arranger Clive has written for both orchestra’s and vocal groups. Arranging include Bond and Beyond, BBC 2 Friday Night is Music Night plus national tours of Anton and Erin, Kevin & Karen, Remembering Fred, Now 80’s, Piano Legends, Katherine Jenkins, various Christmas concerts for Raymond Gubbay Ltd and Puttin’ On The Ritz.
He has produced 4 albums of his own including a recording of his vocal group, ‘Clive Dunstall’s Voxtet,’ his debut jazz trio album ‘Notable Impressions’, ‘Sings Strings & ‘Tings’ and ‘Nightingales and Rainbows’ with his wife, soprano Mandy Watsham Dunstall.
Dave Jones

While Dave is the also organising force behind Grand Union Jazz his bass playing in recent years has included Hejira - a Tribute to Joni Mitchell, Ronnie Scott’s Soul and Jazz Orchestra, Pete Cater Big Band, Way Out West Jazz Collective, Stefanos Tsourelis Trio, Tom Seals, Brandon Allen Groove Band, Jeremy Sassoon and Julian Costello. He has played with some of the finest jazz musicians in the UK such as Pete Long, Jacqui Dankworth, Frank Griffith and John Etheridge and also with visiting American artists such as Howard Levy. He has played alongside drummers Steve Gadd, Steve Smith and Keith Carlock and he is active in jazz education teaching regularly at Richmond Jazz School, International Summer Schools and Kingston University.
Dave also leads a classic nonet line up featuring some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians including Henry Lowther, Mark Armstrong, Nick Mills, Tony Woods, Tom Ridout, Chris Biscoe, John Turville, Tristan Mailliot plus various special guests including Brigitte Beraha, Demi Garcia Sabat on percussion and Mike Outram on guitar.
Playing and exploring the Nonet arrangements of great American writers such as Bob Hammer, Marty Paich and Frank Griffith provided the inspiration for the band while the experience of playing with Pete Cater Big Band, Ronnie Scott’s Soul and Jazz Orchestra, BBC Big Band and in formative days ‘Eurojazz' the European Community Youth Jazz Orchestra provided a unique perspective on writing for this the classic Nonet line up.
Dave’s writing is sophisticated and nuanced. Just when you think you know where he’s going, there is a change of texture or tempo, you do find yourself in an unexpected place and …. it’s beautiful!! … “ London Jazz News’.
